  赛事概述

  在经历夏季休整之后,7月28日至30日期间世界汽车拉力锦标赛战火再燃,这次将在于芬兰中部的大学城于韦斯屈莱(Jyvaskyla)举行的耐斯特石油杯芬兰拉力赛上上演终极速度较量。

  作为本赛季最受关注的分站赛事之一,这站由平坦砂石路面组成的比赛一直以来都令很多车手望而生畏。在他们争夺冠军的道路上,需要在成排的树木之间飞驰,还要飞跃那些存在盲点的坡顶。

  在当地被称作芬兰大奖赛的本站赛事,也是芬兰国内最大的体育活动,每年都能吸引来自世界各地的车迷前往观战。

  想要获得芬兰站胜利的关键就是“sisu”(芬兰语,芬兰人用以形容其民族精神),用我们的话来说就是“要有一颗大心脏”,以及在这平滑狭窄的砂石赛道上领航所用的极其准确的路书。因为车手在飞跃存在盲点的坡顶之前,需要知道赛车准确起飞位置,从而确保赛车安全落地。

  2011赛季世界汽车拉力锦标赛的第八站比赛也有所调整,启用了五个之前比赛中没有使用过的赛段,同时周五的赛程会向南进入拉赫蒂(Lahti)境内,这样就能更加接近人口密集的地区。(译注:于韦斯屈莱位于芬兰国内西芬兰省,拉赫蒂位于芬兰国内南芬兰省,芬兰首都赫尔辛基位于南芬兰省)

  这次比赛仍将在周六晚间结束,而不是像其它分站赛事那样在传统的周日。这意味着周四晚间进行的两个高速赛段以及拉贾乌里(Laajavuori)特殊赛段的比赛中,车手更需要有所作为。

  曾经广受欢迎的赛道诸如哈西(Hassi)、埃沃(Evo)以及Mynnila赛段都将回到周五的赛程当中,而传奇的Ouninpohja赛段的一部分将加入到哈西赛段当中。而进行完埃沃赛段之后,车手们会在令人生畏的Hyvaneula赛段进行两趟比赛,然后前往设置于南面拉赫蒂境内的副维修区。

  周五的比赛还包括Kokunmaa和Koivukeha赛段,这两个赛段在上世界80年代中期是芬兰拉力赛的主要组成部分,此外还有在拉赫蒂市民慢跑路上一对一进行的特殊赛段。进行完Mynnila的比赛之后,车手们将回到于韦斯屈莱的主维修区。

  周六的赛程将主要由于韦斯屈莱附近的Leustu赛段、Surkee赛段、Urria赛段、Jukojarvi赛段以及Isojarvi赛段组成。Jukojarvi赛段在去年的比赛中被一分为二,其中的一部分将作为今年芬兰站的直播赛段。在进行完22个赛段总计314.39公里比赛之后,收车仪式将在当地时间21点在于韦斯屈莱进行。

  耐斯特石油杯芬兰拉力赛是2011赛季世界汽车拉力锦标赛其它三个组别,即超级2000组别、量产车组别以及学院杯赛事,同场竞技的三个分站中的第一个。

  冠军悬念

  创纪录的21部新世代世界拉力赛车将参加芬兰站的角逐,其中就有七位芬兰籍车手。

  领头的将会是福特厂队车手米可·海沃宁以及贾里马蒂·拉特瓦拉,他们分别获得了2009赛季以及2010赛季芬兰站的胜利。

  本赛季福特在揭幕战瑞典站上凭借海沃宁的胜利取得了开门红,之后却一直没能压过来自雪铁龙厂队的对手,塞巴斯蒂安·勒布以及塞巴斯蒂安·奥吉尔,这两位驾驶雪铁龙DS3赛车的车手取得了自三月早些时候举行的墨西哥瓜纳华托拉力赛以来的全部分站赛事的胜利。

  七冠王勒布曾在2008年赢得过芬兰站的胜利,不过他也暗示自己不会在今年的比赛中再冒上次夺冠时所遇到的风险。考虑到这位法国车手目前在车手总成绩榜上的优势,他也没必要冒太大的风险。

  雪铁龙私人车手皮特·索伯格从未取得过芬兰站的胜利,不过在度过本赛季并不算胜利的前半程之后,他迫切希望能够就此时来运转而登上领奖台的最高处。前一级方程式世界冠军吉米·莱科宁则是最后一位驾驶雪铁龙赛车参赛的车手,这也是这位芬兰人本赛季参加的第三站赛事。

  迷你世界拉力车队也继五月意大利撒丁岛拉力赛之后首次回到赛场。不过这支盎格鲁-日耳曼车队在这段时间内并不是无所事事,克里斯·梅克和丹尼·索尔多都在测试中完成了可观的路程。

  梅克此前还参加了并不在赛程内的爱沙尼亚拉力赛,那里的赛道和芬兰很相似,不过测试时的事故值得他反思。不过这位北爱尔兰车手依然坚信爱沙尼亚拉力赛上早早退赛并不会影响到他以及车队夺冠的把握。

  马尔科姆赛事斯托巴特车队的马斯·厄斯贝里则驾驶自己的福特嘉年华赛车赢得了爱沙尼亚拉力赛的胜利,来为高速型的芬兰拉力赛做准备,而这也可能是这位资金有限的挪威车手在本赛季参加的最后一个分站赛事,这个问题同样困扰着他的队友亨宁·索伯格和马修·威尔森。

  索伯格似乎有能力为2011赛季剩下的比赛筹集到资金,但是威尔森的形势则不容乐观。缺席一年之后再次回到这里的俄罗斯飞人叶夫根尼·诺维科夫,也将驾驶马尔科姆赛事斯托巴特车队的赛车参加芬兰拉力赛。他上一次参加芬兰来赛还是在2009年,虽然那一年他所驾驶的世嘉赛车的后保险杠惨不忍睹,但是他依然完成了比赛。

  哈立德·阿尔·卡西米在芬兰的亮相也代表阿布扎比对世界汽车拉力锦标赛的赞助走过了四个年头,同时作为福特世界拉力车队合作伙伴的阿布扎比也是世界汽车拉力锦标赛的主要赞助商之一。而阿联酋人已经缺席了数个月的比赛,现在他迫切希望回到赛场。

  和厄斯贝里一样,Ferm电动工具世界拉力车队的父子档组合丹尼斯和雷内·奎伯斯也参加了爱沙尼亚拉力赛,不过他们在那并未使用芬兰站中的嘉年华赛车。其它驾驶嘉年华赛车参加本站比赛的车手还有飞一般的贾里·科托玛,及其前世界汽车拉力锦标赛超级2000组别对手詹尼·图希诺。

  迷你车队在芬兰也有强大的阵容。除了有厂队支持的阿明多·阿劳约以及丹尼尔·奥利维拉之外,芬兰人马蒂·兰塔宁和马蒂亚斯·谢尔曼也将驾驶由Prodrive研发的迷你约翰库伯赛车。

  去年今日

  米可·海沃宁在首日取得领先之后,却遭遇了严重的车祸(如图),庆幸的是他和领航员贾莫·兰蒂宁都没有受伤。其队友贾里马蒂·拉特瓦拉顺势升至第一,同时凭借稳定的发挥首次在家乡的比赛中封王,那也是福特福克斯赛车在世界汽车拉力锦标赛最后一个获胜。获得亚军的塞巴斯蒂安·奥吉尔则是雪铁龙阵营中表现最好的,领先于塞巴斯蒂安·勒布一个名次。皮特·索伯格在首日比赛之后排名第二,不过在最后的角逐中滑落至第四位。四届世界冠军尤哈·坎库宁驾驶福克斯赛车也取得了车手积分。

  你知道吗

  在过去的20届芬兰拉力赛上,只有三位非芬兰籍拉力车手,迪迪尔·奥瑞尔、马克·马丁以及塞巴斯蒂安·勒布,取得过冠军。

  轮胎准备

  米其林将提供软质配方的旗下交叉纬度牌砂石轮胎。中国厂商DMACK将为量产车组别车手提供旗下DMG2品牌代号G4的中性轮胎。而本地车手还能选择代号G6的软胎。

The rally
The World Rally Championship is back from its summer break with the ultimate speed chase, Neste Oil Rally Finland, based in the university city of Jyvaskyla in the centre of the country from 28-30 July.
One of the highlights of the season, the flat-out all-gravel contest is also one of the most daunting prospects for the crews who charge through tree-lined straights and fly over blind crests in their pursuit of glory.
Referred to locally as the Finnish Grand Prix, the event is one of Finland’s largest sporting occasions and attracts thousands of fans from all over the world.
Being successful on Rally Finland requires ‘sisu’, which loosely translates into English as ‘having guts’, plus extremely accurate pace notes for negotiating the smooth and compact gravel tracks. That’s because drivers must know where to place their cars on the road before they take off over blind crests to ensure a safe landing.
Much has changed for this year’s rally, the eighth round of the thrilling 2011 WRC season, with five stages previously unused and a move south on Friday to roads around Lahti in order to tap into larger areas of population.
Once again the rally will finish on Saturday night, rather than continuing on Sunday as is traditional with most WRC events. That means more action on Thursday evening with two forest-based stages being run in addition to the Laajavuori spectator stage.
Old favourites such as Hassi, Evo and Mynnila are back on the agenda on Friday with parts of the legendary Ouninpohja test being incorporated into the Hassi stage. Following Evo crews head south to Lahti via the first of two runs through the daunting Hyvaneula stage prior to a remote service halt around in Lahti.
Further stages on Friday include Kokunmaa and Koivukeha, a mainstay of the rally in the mid-1980s, plus a superspecial at the Lahti trotting track where drivers will compete head to head. Competitors will travel back to the overnight halt in Jyvaskyla via the Mynnila stage.
Saturday’s schedule is based around Jyvaskyla with the Leustu, Surkee, Urria, Jukojarvi and Isojarvi stages comprising the competitive action. Jukojarvi has been split in two since last year and one half will be used for the event-closing Power Stage. The finishing ceremony in Jyvaskyla is due to begin at 21:00hrs local time following 22 stages over a competitive distance of 314.39 kilometres.
Neste Oil Rally Finland is the first event of 2011 when all three WRC support championships will be in action, the Super 2000 and Production championships, plus the FIA WRC Academy. Previews of all three will be published next week on wrc.com.

Who’s going to win?
A record 21 new-generation World Rally Cars will do battle in Finland with seven home-grown talents among that number.
Leading the charge will be factory Ford drivers Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala, the winners in Finland in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
While the Blue Oval’s season started brightly with Hirvonen’s victory in Sweden, since then it has struggled to get the better of the rival works Citroens of Sebastien Loeb and Sebastien Ogier, who have done the winning since Rally Guanajuato Mexico in early March in their Citroen DS3 WRCs.
Seven-time champion Loeb won in Finland in 2008 but has hinted that he won’t be willing to take the same risks he took back then in order to emulate that triumph this year. With a healthy championship lead, neither does the French ace have to.
Citroen privateer Petter Solberg has never won in Finland before and would require a dramatic reversal of fortune in order to mount the top step of the podium following a luckless start to this campaign. Ex-Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen is the only other Citroen driver in action on his home rally, which he will tackle for the third time in 2011.
The MINI WRC Team is back on world championship duty for the first time since its debut on Rally Italia Sardegna in early May. But the Anglo-German squad hasn’t been sitting idly by during that time with Kris Meeke and Dani Sordo both covering significant distances during testing.
Meeke had been set to contest the non-championship Rally Estonia, which uses similar roads to Finland, but a testing smash forced a rethink. Nevertheless, the Northern Irish driver is adamant that missing out on a trial run in Estonia won’t affect his and his team’s chances of success.
M-Sport Stobart’s Mads Ostberg prepared for Finland’s high-speed stages by winning the recent non-championship Rally Estonia in a Ford Fiesta RS WRC, which has handed the young Norwegian prospect a major boost ahead of what could be one his last events of the season due to his limited funds, a problem that has affected his team-mates Henning Solberg and Matthew Wilson.
Solberg looks set to have a programme in place for the remainder of 2011 but the consistent Wilson’s schedule is far from clear. Russian flyer Evgeny Novikov will also run under the M-Sport Stobart banner on his return to Finland following a one-year absence. His last appearance on the rally in 2009 culminated in a spectacular landing on his Citroen C4’s rear bumper.
Khalid Al Qassimi’s appearance in Finland will mark the four-year anniversary of Abu Dhabi’s investment in the world championship, both as a partner of the Ford World Rally Team and as a valued sponsor of the WRC. The Emirati has been absent from competition for a couple of months and will be raring to get behind the wheel.
Like Ostberg, FERM Power Tools World Rally Team’s father-and-son duo Dennis and Rene Kuipers competed in Estonia, albeit not on board the Fiesta RS WRCs they will use in Finland. Other drivers relying on Fiesta technology in Finland are the rapid Jari Ketomaa and his fellow ex-Super 2000 world championship rival Janne Tuohino.
The MINI challenge has expanded in number in Finland. In addition to works-supported drivers Armindo Araujo and Daniel Oliveira, Finns Matti Rantanen and Mattias Therman will also be driving the Prodrive-developed MINI John Cooper Works WRC.

On this rally last year
Mikko Hirvonen was leading on day one only to suffer a huge accident [pictured] from which he and co-driver Jarmo Lehtinen were lucky to emerge unscathed. Team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala inherited top spot to win his home rally for the first time following a mature drive, which was also the last victory for the Ford Focus model in the world championship. Sebastien Ogier was the top Citroen finisher in second, one place ahead of Sebastien Loeb. Petter Solberg was second after day one but slipped back to fourth at the finish. Four-time world champion Juha Kankkunen scored drivers’ championship points on a one-off return in a Focus.

Did you know?
In the last 20 editions of the event, only three non-Finns, Didier Auriol, Markko Martin and Sebastien Loeb, have taken victory on Neste Oil Rally Finland.

Tyres
Michelin runners will use the soft-compound version of the company’s Latitude Cross gravel tyre. Chinese firm DMACK will provide the G4 medium compound version of its DMG2 for competitors in the Production world championship. Non-priority drivers will also be able to choose the soft compound G6.

说道索伯格,这赛季更多时候是精彩一下,然后便杳无音讯。

感觉还是运气不好,私人车队的保障方面做的不够好(与厂对相比)。
